Adobe house renovation – Front door replace
The front door came from the period between Noah's ark and the regime change. Of course this could not be closed normally...

The
door could really be made in the pre-transition times because your
"building brigade" was really exposed to you,
So that
the door does not get under any circumstances stable side up, with
the house wall together ...
This was a professional installation: 6 places in the wall (top, bottom, center on both sides)
Extending
with a chisel, hammer, tensioner 2-3 hours…
Of course after
the sinking, the cement was not sorry... The picture on the right
shows the new built-in door.
This is also approx. I set it in 2
hours... I do not like it if something is not perfect, so I tried to
get 1mm accuracy.
Practically, you can close the door with one
finger.
The other problem was that the door was made from the bottom inwards, but I built it out because of the thickness of the wall (otherwise it could not be fully opened). To do this, the door handles, the locking mechanism and the viewing aperture had to be rotated...
