Adobe house restoration – Gutter

Since the 1m3 tank was finally in place, another problem had to be solved.

There was no gutter in the house. This is a big problem for a lodge!

Water can cause serious static problems beside the wall. Here you can also see the northern wall as it is damaged.

Soldering water is required for soldering the gutter.

It can also be made at home using hydrochloric acid and Zinc (Zinc).

Zinc can also be obtained from the cover of old elements (Carbon-Zinc batteries).

During the dissolution, gas and heat generation are expected and should preferably be in a heat-resistant glass

and in the open air.

For me, it looked like I put it in a bowl I filled with water.

If the bubble stops and remains Zinc, then the solution is definitely (saturated).

The new gutters were purchased in 6m threads because of a 27m long house

a lot of soldering should be done and the soldering tin is also very expensive (not to mention the extra work).

The gutter profiles:

The first channel end was soldered on the ground because it would have been too high for

to get on the ladder and on the ground it is much easier to solder.

Without a soldering iron I heated the channel with a gas lamp and pulled the tin with a spatula

uniform. Before each soldering, both sides of the given section must be soldered

and rinse thoroughly with water after soldering.

It's not nice, but at least the soldering has become strong. I bought the overlap to 8-10cm.

I was too low for that

The trees were on their way ...

After some wood chopping, the lifting was solved with a plastic broom :)

The ends of the elements were folded before to fit the next one.

Sure to put a 6m piece alone is not a small challenge ...

I folded the inner side "good demand" because there wouldn't be so much to look like.

Direction OK ...

Here's how I raised the tiles on the road.

Yeah, it's not a tin pliers, but it's not my profession :).

The left numbering didn't help anything, as they were folded back.

For example, a 1, e.g. It was the same as a 9 ... So the carving was left.

It looked like tile aside, nails out ...

Removing iron, hanging strips ...

Iron back

nailing...

It's not too bad.

This is the northern wall (it can be seen from the moss) :).

The outlet was a bit ugly in the front, but it is not the final solution.

The rear wall may perhaps breathe a little, because its erosion has slowed down,

next year it will be renewed anyway.

It must also be taped at the tank location.

To do this, draw the cauldron in a circle and cut it in the middle with a cutter.

I had to buy the latter, of course, because it wasn't.

The cut is not nice, but at least ugly.

For this solution, rainwater collection will be more effective.

Here the buckets were placed under the roof.

All in all, the whole gutter was put in place in 2 days.
