During my pre-teens I really wasn’t into shoes quite yet but that doesn’t mean I didn’t notice the sweet shoes Michael Jordan was wearing while kicking my Pacer’s ass Though I didn’t know the name or model of the shoe I just knew that they looked way cooler that what most of the other players were wearing (I’m sure the fact that Michael Jordan was the one wearing them had a lot to do as to why I thought they looked as cool as the thought they did) For all those reasons Michael Jordan was the epitome of “cool”
Now that I’m 30 years old if you were to ask me what Michael Jordan meant to me I wouldn’t answer by saying he’s the greatest of all time or even reply by saying he reminds me of

Jordan I think of much simpler days where I was just a kid who’s only worries were getting good grades in school I think of the days where there were no bills to pay and money was not much of importance to me The days when I had two good functioning knees and used to meet up with friends to play basketball after school The days where watching the Simpsons weekdays at 7pm PST and playing Mario Kart with my little brotheron Nintendo 64 were the highlights of my day I think of watching the games on Sunday with my Dad then going outside to shoot some hoops afterwards In other words when I think of Michael Jordan I think of some of the best moments of my life
