Thanks so much for all of the kind words and well wishes for my race yesterday I am home now and relaxing on the couch my quads are sore todayYesterday went well I got up at 4:30 am ate my Clif bar and had some coffee and water I tried hard to hydrate all week and I guess I did okay since I didn't have any issues Bathroom break and then my step dad dropped me off at the race It was 72 at the start and that's where it remained the entire time However it was cloudy and breezy and I felt fine the entire time It would have been miserable had the sun come out I got on the bus around 6:30 and was at the start by 6:50 Immediately got into the port o potty line which took about 20 minutes Walked over to the start at about 7:15 Gun went off right at 7:30 They moved the start about 2 years ago and now the first two miles are uphill I started slow since I didn't want to get too tired out at the beginning Once you get to mile 2 it's basically flat and you follow the peninsula down to the finish I think my first mile was about 9:40 mile 2 was around 9:10 and then I was able to run the rest of the race around 8:45-8:50's I had no major issues and ran comfortably hard the majority of the race I alternated water and gatorade at the water stops from about mile 4 to mile 10 (they were set up about every 2 miles) About mile 123 I really wanted to be done lol I slowed a bit but then really pushed it the last quarter mile which is on the high school track I think that's where the quad soreness is coming from Holy crap walking up/down stairs has been a challenge Overall time was 1:56:27 33/212 in AG I will take it Elite,
