The Centre for Policy Studies estimated that families and wealthy individuals who have bought property worth more than ?5m in the past 10 years in the affluent borough of Westmintser contribute ?2.3bn a year to the UK economy based on their household expenditure alone.
The paper,http://www.elllo.org/graphics/cheapjordanshoesfreeshipping.com/bolg, based on analysis by Savills, showed that the case for a mansion tax had been eradicated since it was first raised five years ago by the
introduction of other ...n wealthy property owners.
An increase in the rate of the enveloped dwellings tax has added ?100m a year to the tax paid by high-end homeowners, while the double whammy of the new stamp duty reforms and a mansion tax would raise the tax burden on high value homes by ?1.1bn a year,

In fact, the study found the tax paid on a house sold in south-west London for ?2.5m has increased by 405pc since 2009.
“There is a great fear of the tipping point tax,” said Tom Moran, a partner at the law firm Charles Russell Speechly. “No one knows where that tipping point is but the very wealthy are mobile and they would simply go if London became very expensive to live [in].”
A mansion tax, devised by the Labour Party to pump funds into the ailing NHS, will be more aggressive than first thought, the Centre for Policy Studies said.
The analysis indicated that in order to raise gross revenue of ?1.2bn, the charge for properties between ?3m and ?5m would need to be in the order of ?7,000, rising to ?18,
jordan shoes,000 for homes valued between ?5m and ?10m.
The annual bill would jump to ?125,000 for properties worth more than ,

The paper also accused a mansion tax of being “,

At the very top end of the scale, those individuals who buy multi-million pound homes through companies will just soak up the extra tax,http://mylovesong.me/user/blogs/view/name_shoesking/id_209036/title_cheap-air-jordans-Online-Store-KicksOkok/cheapjordanshoesfreeshipping.com/bolg, said Mr Moran.

Example of stamp duty increases
A property currenty worth ?2,http://www.videoviewtube.com/shoeskingcheapjordanshoesfreeshipping.com/bolg.5m in south-west London would have been worth ,

Had that property sold in 2009 it would have generated stamp duty revenue of ?70,120.
If the same property sold in 2015 it would now generate ?213,750 - an increase of 405pc.
