Air Jordan XXX ‘Wolf Grey’ is one of two upcoming releases from Jordan Brand on Michael Jordan’s latest signature shoe. Debuting during the month of February and just in-time for All Star Weekend. One of the unique characteristics of the Jordan XXX is the tongue. One will feature a silhouette of the United States while the other has Africa. The toe box is done in Wolf Grey, which has the Jumpman logo on it (something different) will also feature a bead printed pattern which is actually a lenticular lens. The uppers, which feature a Black to Wolf Grey gradient is a nod to MJ’s college days when he played for the UNC Tar Heels. This is achieved by a jacquard construction that mimics the argyle graphic of the jersey. As well, the Jordan XXX will be the first for a shoe to feature Flyknit technology and a performance woven upper combination. Wrapping the heel is XXX in White which is debossed and is inspired by basketball nets. This of course also celebrates the 30th shoe. On the midsole you will notice a small window with a galaxy print which is being called ‘cosmos’. According to Nike, this symbolizes Michael Jordan being the ‘Big Bang’ and igniting the globalization of basketball. Moving to the sole, which features mainly translucent tint also comes with a Flight Speed plate that unleashes the energy of Zoom Air.
