PE Builder v3 plugin

VMAdditions Plugin for Virtual PC 2004

Plugin was tested using BartPE 3.1.9 with XPE 1.0.4 built with Windows XP Pro/SP2 English version.

Before you can use this plugin you must copy some files to the plugin directory from a Windows XP system running under Virtual PC 2004.

Your plugin directory structure should look as follows:

\vmadditions

\files

\inf

\system32

\drivers

Now go to your Windows XP running under Virtual PC 2004 and copy out the following files:

From C:\Windows\VMADD to \vmadditions\files:

cdeject.exe

display.cfg

UpdatePNP.dll

vmsrvc.exe

vmusrvc.exe

From C:\Windows\VMADD to \vmadditions\files\inf:

msvmscsi.inf

VMADD_XP_DRV.inf

VMADD_8042KBD_SYS.inf

VMADD_8042MOUSE_SYS.inf

From C:\Windows\inf to \vmadditions\files\inf:

wdma_ctl.inf

From C:\Windows\System32 to \vmadditions\files\system32:

mrxvpcnp.dll

s3legacy.dll

vmsrvc.dll

vpcmap.exe

vpc-s3.dll

From C:\Windows\System32\Drivers to \vmadditions\files\system32\drivers:

ctlsb16.sys

mrxvpc.sys

s3legacy.sys

vmsrvc.sys

vpc-8042.sys

vpc-s3.sys

From C:\Windows\VMADD to /vmadditions\files\system32\drivers:

msvmscsi.sys

Don’t worry if you can’t find display.cfg, msvmscsi.inf or msvmscsi.sys. The plugin should work without them.

You should be ready to build and test the plugin.
