MemoryInfo Xtra 1.3

MemoryInformation Xtra is freeware.

Installation:

• For authoring: put MemoryInfo.x32 into your Director Xtras folder
  
• For distributing: put MemoryInfo.x32 into your projector Xtras folder

Function list:

• aGetTotalPhysicalmemory()
  Return Value: Integer
  Indicates the total number of kilobytes of - Os usable-physical memory. On Intel x86 computers with more than 2 GB and less than 4 GB of memory, the aGetTotalPhysicalmemory function will always return 2 GB . (winapi MEMORYSTATUS limitation)
• aGetFreePhysicalMemory()
  Return Value: Integer
  Indicates the number of Kilobytes of physical memory available. On Intel x86 computers with more than 2 GB and less than 4 GB of memory, the aGetFreePhysicalMemory() function will always return less than 2 GB . (winapi MEMORYSTATUS limitation)
• aGetTotalVirtualMemory()
  Return Value: Integer
  Indicates the total number of Kilobytes that can be described in the user mode portion of the virtual address space of the calling process.On Intel x86 computers with more than 2 GB and less than 4 GB of memory, the aGetTotalPhysicalmemory function will always return 4 GB . (winapi MEMORYSTATUS limitation)
  
• aGetFreeVirtualMemory()
  Return Value: Integer
  Indicates the number of Kilobytes of unreserved and uncommitted memory in the user mode portion
  of the virtual address space of the calling process.On Intel x86 computers with more than 2 GB and less than 4 GB of memory, the aGetFreeVirtualMemory() function will always return less than 4 GB . (winapi MEMORYSTATUS limitation)
  
• aGetTotalPageFileMemory()
  Return Value: Integer
  Indicates the total number of Kilobytes that can be stored in the paging file.
  Note that this number does not represent the actual physical size of the paging file on disk.On Intel x86 computers with more than 2 GB and less than 4 GB of memory, the aaGetTotalPageFileMemory() function will always return 2 GB . (winapi MEMORYSTATUS limitation)
  
• aGetFreePageFileMemory()
  Return Value: Integer
  Indicates the number of Kilobytes available in the paging file.On Intel x86 computers with more than 2 GB and less than 4 GB of memory, the aGetFreePageFileMemory()function will always return less than 2 GB . (winapi MEMORYSTATUS limitation)
  
• aGetMemoryInUse()
  Return Value: Integer
  Specifies a number between 0 and 100 that gives a general idea of current memory utilization,
  in which 0 indicates no memory use and 100 indicates full memory use.

  Property Table

  #TotalPhys	The amount of actual (usable) physical memory, in Kilobytes. (May be not equal with total RAM! etc. 32 bit Windows XP+4GB RAM istalled)
  #AvailPhys	The amount of physical memory currently available, in Kilobytes.
  #TotalPageFile	The current committed memory limit for the system or the current process, whichever is smaller, in Kilobytes.
  #AvailPageFile	The maximum amount of memory the current process can commit, in Kilobytes.
  #TotalVirtual	The size of the user-mode portion of the virtual address space of the calling process, in Kilobytes. ( this value is approximately 2 GB for most 32-bit processes on an x86 processor and approximately 3 GB for 32-bit processes that are large address aware running on a system with 4-gigabyte tuning enabled.)
  #AvailVirtual	The amount of unreserved and uncommitted memory currently in the user-mode portion of the virtual address space of the calling process, in Kilobytes.
  #MemoryLoad	A number between 0 and 100 that specifies the approximate percentage of physical memory that is in use (0 indicates no memory use and 100 indicates full memory use).

Versions:

Changes from 1.2 to 1.3

• Add freeGetMemoryStatus() function. Use it if user machine have more than 2GB RAM, run 32 bit OS, and application run Windows XP or newer.

Changes from 1.1 to 1.2

• Functions privide results in Kilobytes. (because Lingo integer limitation)

Changes from 1.0 to 1.1:

• Xtra don't require memdll.dll.
• I dropped aGetMaxAppAddress(),aGetMinAppAddress()
• I added aGetMemoryInUse, aGetTotalPageFileMemory(),aGetFreePageFileMemory()
