I have homework due in 2 hours. I should be doing it. I'm going to try to force it again. I think I already described what that feels like.

There are drawbacks to the Adderall but there are drawbacks to being off it too. I'm dreading starting my homework. I'm certain that I'm going to go there, start reading and my mind will just go somewhere else.

I'm going. Now. Probably.

I don't like 5hr energy myself, but it's more because it says it's not an energy drink. It's either postmodernism (and if it is, I'd stay away from smoking too; man, these images are treacherous) or a blatant lie.

It also uses a legal loophole: Dietary supplements aren't regulated, really. This is good for them, because "prevents scurvy" isn't as sexy (or relevant to anyone who can afford a supplement) as "cures the common cold supports a healthy immune system". (When selling a supplement, you're not allowed to make health claims on the packaging, but you're allowed to make structure-function claims. The difference is that health claims say it cures, diagnoses, prevents, or mitigates a disease, while structure-function claims go just one millimeter behind that line. There's a disclaimer on the packaging, though.) And the definition of "supplement" includes herbal pills and things your body makes itself (like coenzyme Q10), which are decidedly not essential to a diet, and (in the case of herbal remedies) have the usual concerns of not knowing how much of a medicine is in there (since plants are organic systems, and see my earlier comments on placebos, drugs, and poisons).
