I mean, the person on the other end can barely see me, even though my internet is pretty good. My friend has the same Mac as me, but his camera seems way better.

You can often adjust the Mac’s camera with different apps or directly within the apps you’re using for online calls. For example, Zoom has a bunch of settings. The M1 Macs had a camera quality of just 720p, which is really low. I’ve got the M3 now, and I finally got the 1080p I was waiting for.
