Who will conquer space? The next person to "step on the moon"

In 1969, the Apollo 11 mission carried Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong to the surface of the moon for the first time. And subsequent Apollo missions brought 11 more Americans to successfully walk on the moon as well. The mission lasted until December 1972, when the United States finally ended it.

However, after being free from the above activities for more than half a century, There is now renewed interest around the world in returning humans to the moon.

The United States is working on plans to send astronauts to the moon. This time, people of color and women will join the spaceflight team, but the United States isn't the only nation with such plans. Because China and India are preparing to send people to the moon as well.

Why is this competition happening? And how is it different from space exploration in the 1960s?

geopolitics
The United States' past deployment of humans to the moon was a response to the Soviet Union's success. which was able to send Yuri Gagarin into orbit around the earth for the first time in 1961
