Hi
Im looking to start an e commerce site, I have no knowledge what so ever of this. Just looking for basic help if you don't mind I know I can get and sell the product, but no idea how to get to the top of google and how much this could cost? I know its a vague question as all industries etc will be different. Website im guesing is 6-7k, not an issue, could sell on e bay but same companies that sell their products here sell them for 40% cheaper on e bay than their own sites. Any comments appreciate thanks |

Do both ebay and own site. Not as if ebay will cost you much without sales, and with sales you should make far more than the fees.

What do you plan to sell?
How many others already sell these items? What is your marketing plan? Do you have a supplier? How will you distribute the orders? Is this a DIY project or will you be employing someone to fullfull the orders? The actual website is one of the least important parts of the project. The cost of the website could be £7K but you may need £70K for marketing. |

Depends on what your plans are. You should budget more for marketing. |

Agree with all above, there are many options available but all depends on your specific requirements, best speak to a design and marketing agency and plan your first year.
