we're travelling to Istanbul next week for shopping, and we're also looking for an evening gown and possibly a wedding dress.We've been checking online and found Oleg Cassini, it seems to have nice and elegant designs,

Moreover there are a lot shopping streets, such as Bagdat Street(Kadikoy, Asian side) or Fevzipasa street (Fatih). Finally you can also check at these areas, Nisantasi or Laleli.

Might seem a bit 'out there' but when I drive through Tooting, the specialist sari shops have some amazing looking dresses. They're not all saris and many are more modern Asian evening wear which would look gorgeous and have the bonus that nobody else would be wearing the same dress. Many will do quick alterations too, if you want to change the look a little.

I'd call & ask what they've got in that might work for you & at what price. I did brilliantly well out of the Hatfield outlet once but another time I went & got nothing, I guess it's just a matter of luck. I think it's at the Turnpike Lane tube end of Green Lanes, so not hard to reach.

i am seriously thinking of taking this route as the price of dresses here are way over my budget, i just didn't want to risk ordering a dress for it to then be bad quality so would appreciate any experiences you have had.

This dress was a custom size and came a few days earlier then what they said it would take. The shoulder straps were a little long (I made my height with my heels, probably the reason the straps were a little long). Over all its exactly what they show, the fabric wasnt cheap, and there is an inside strap that keeps the dress up. Only thing wrong is that I am to thin to put the straps on the sides of my shoulders like the original picture, which im fine with but besides that I loved it More Info here ball gowns
