Ok...another question. Need to buy myself a ring. Have been looking at Tungsten Carbide. Any recommendations for stores that are excellent at crafting this metal? Would prefer a gold inlay, but happy to look at other options.

No one is answering, so I'll suggest. You'd have to ask at jewellers. Never seen Tungsten used there as HK jewellers seem very traditional and or Chinese. HEAVILY into gold. Not much else. All I can say is there are hundreds of jewellers, so ask around, just don't be surprised if they go "Huh??"

I'm a nurse, I've never seen anyone run into a issue cutting off any type of wedding band. The research I've done on the tungsten carbide states that it's a myth that it can't be cut off. If you want to know more details please visit here Chemetalusa.com

FBIL has one and he loves it. FH and I spoke with a jeweler when I was getting my rings cleaned and he said there should be no problem getting the ring off in an emergency.

DH has one and he absolutely loves it. It does have a center that's made of something else and that's a little scratched but the tungsten looks brand new. It's smooth all around and he says it's super comfortable. The only thing I'd warn you of is that it's pretty heavy, so if that's an issue I'd definitely go with a thinner one to take some of the weight out.
