The U.S. Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has doubled its 2021 growth forecast for the U.S. economy. The federal budget deficit will drop to $3 trillion. Although spending on assistance to those affected by COVID-19 will be higher

The CBO forecasts the US economy to grow 7.4 percent in 2021, higher than the previous forecast of 3.7 percent.

The CBO's revised upward forecast for the US economy comes in line with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) raised its forecast for US economic growth in 2021 to 7%, a sharp increase from the previous forecast of 7%. 4.6%. The White House responded to forecasts from the CBO and the IMF, saying these forecasts reflect that. Biden's economic stimulus plan can drive the economy to grow.

“Economic forecast numbers have increased. while the forecasted budget deficit dropped and the unemployment rate will continue to decline These reflect that Biden's economy is booming," said a White House official.
