Salicylates are natural chemicals found in many vegetables and fruits, teas, nuts, herbs, wine, coffee, herbal medicines, beer, and spices. Natural and artificial salicylates are also present in many skins performs and creams. Tomato, blueberries, broccoli, tomato, and rich sources of salicylates. Actually, salicylate sensitivity is the most general chemical intolerance that eczema sufferers present with.

People with allergic rhinitis, asthma, or atopic dramas are most likely to develop salicylate intolerance. Salicylates are also famous triggers for an asthma attack in certain asthmatics. People with low levels of an enzyme known as phenol-sulfur-transferase as more prone to grow a salicylate intolerance. PST is an enzyme required for the metabolism of salicylates. As their issues were not enough, kids who have autism were found to have low levels of this enzyme, and hence, are more prone to building a salicylate allergy.

It is almost not possible, and you may develop nutritional deficiencies of other important nutrients. It is a lot harder than a gluten-free diet. What you can perform is to get rid of foods from your diet that contain big amounts of salicylates in them for 4 weeks. Observe if your symptoms better. But before you begin doing this, it is advised that you seek support from your healthcare practitioner.
