The past few decades have seen a renewed interest in cycling. Taking a ride on your bike increases your overall fitness and wellbeing. On top of that, if cycle journeys could replace shorter car journeys, there would be a substantial impact on the pollution around the world. However, cycling isn't accessible to everyone, and e-bikes open leisure rides and commuting by bike to a broader range of people. Although it may pay off over time, the initial financial cost of an electric bike is significant. If you do invest in an e-bike, consider also purchasing one of these bike trackers to catch thieves red-handed.

Finding the next charging point, especially when you’re planning a long journey or road trip can prove quite stressful. Whilst charging points are becoming more of a regular occurrence in service stations, in comparison to petrol stations, they are still very few and far between. Here are just some of the best apps and tools that can help you find electric charging points just that little more easily and conveniently:
Charging your electric Motorcycle will vary in cost depending on where you choose to charge it. Generally charging at home tends to be the cheapest way, the actual cost though will depend on various factors, such as your electric tariff (how much it costs you per kWh) and also the capacity of your battery/ies. |

Although their green credentials have been shouted about since they first entered the market, for many years the practicalities of electric motorcycles just couldn’t rival their petrol counterparts. But some riders out there aren’t aware that many of the factors that made an electric motorcycle a poor investment have changed. As charging infrastructure improves and the market offers a greater variety of quality electric motorcycles, it’s definitely time to take a fresh look at electric motorcycles!

The magic starts with the battery of your electric motorcycle for kids. Charging is similar to that of an electric car that uses an electric charging station or outlet installed near your housing area. It can take anywhere between 4 to 24 hours to reach full charge, depending on the type of battery your motorcycle has. For example, lithium batteries are fast-charging and can be fully recharged within 1 to 2 hours. Where else, a lead acid battery will take over 12 hours to charge to full capacity.
Once you charge the battery, you can start your electric motorcycle with just a turn of the key – very much like a conventional motorbike. What’s different is, that instead of the pistons moving up and down in the cylinder block, driven by explosions of a fuel-air mixture that has been ignited by a spark, the electric motorcycle just transforms the power from the battery directly to the engine. |
