Kezdeném egy szembetűnő információval: Billie Joe haja újra fekete. A srácok díjat nyertek az American Music Awardson, ők lettek a legjobb alternatív rock előadó. Mindezek mellett előadták a 21 Guns-t is, mely remek minőségben tekinthető meg itt. Egy adásba nem került East Jesus Nowheret tekinthettek meg itt. A Saturday Night Live (ugye ott?) műsor felvételén adták elő, májusban. Ami engem a leginkább érdekel: A Green Day fantasztikus (ingyen)koncertet adott kb fél nappal ezelőtt a Nokia Plazaban. Mint kiderült, az USA-ban ezt a koncertet valamely TV-csatorna műsorra fogja tűzni szilveszterkor. Ez eredményezte többek között Tré Cool "Happy New Year!" beszólását is a Dominated Love Slave előtt. :) Videók tekintetében van még egy kis Disappearing Boy, a Welcome To Paradise második fele és a teljes 'Who Wrote Holden Caufield?', a nyitódal - Know Your Enemy... A Green Day Authority egyik szerkesztője levelet kapott az American Idiot musical egyik szereplőjétől. Arról ír, hogy megbizonyosodott róla, hogy mindenki ugyanolyan izgatott, mint ő. Tudja, hogy sokan azt hiszik, csak a musicalesek lesznek hallhatóak a felvételen, de ez tényleg egy közös dal lesz, ők és a zenekar. Alig várja a végeredményt.
'Hey J'net! I wanted to pass some info along to you. I was reading the GDA site about everyone's expectations for the new "21 Guns" recording, and wanted to make sure everybody is as excited as I am. I know people are worried if it is going to be just the cast. It is definitely us AND the band. ... It is a collaborative effort on all fronts and it really sounds amazing. And I'm not bragging about it. We were all moved to tears ... when we heard it for the first time. ...
