"This above all: to thine ownself be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
Farewell: my blessing season this in thee!"
William Shakespeare: Hamlet, Act 1, Scene 3.
Quality first of all
We started Mudi breeding to give good working, healthy and happy Mudis to the world. We bring up the puppies in our home, within our family, and we breed our bitches once a year, not more. We think that the breeding dogs also need the opportunity to live active live, try versatile sports and find new challenges instead of always having puppies.
We have choosen our dogs after thorough consideration of lines and abilities of their ancestors and also picked the best working dogs from the pairs we really was going for. We train them from early puppygood and you can meet us on trials, presentations and other events, where all our dogs are representing Mudi breed with great work and nice appereance. Puppies from our kennel meeting the highest requirements of any working homes and dog experts, but that's why sometimes you have to wait if you need a puppy from us, we have waiting lists for our litters. We picked our breeding dogs for a lifetime, not by considering color and fashions within the breed - we say and believe fashions come and go, but GOOD DOG HAS NO COLOR! That's how we do not sell our breeding dogs, do not change them every year and they surely will be loved members of our family all in their life. For us, good breeding starts with being a good owner...
Mudi breeding is a hobby for us, not business, and we think quality is more important than quantity. We breed according to the current FCI Standard.
We give individual attention each puppy from the first day and after the 3rd week we train and play with them singly and in group also. In our house they live safely and from the 5th week can go out with supervision to challenge the world outside the house.
What we give
We give a healthy puppy with perfect socialisation, temperament, basic knowledge needed in everyday obedience, and on which the owner can build the other trainings later. We are picking our dogs by temperament and working abilities. We also have hip, patella and eyes examinations done for the breeding stocks. We guaratee in written contract that the puppy has no inherited health problems.
All puppies get FCI pedigree, microchip inserted, written contract and puppy pack. We do 3 times deworming, and give basic vaccinations for the puppies (at the age of 6 weeks and 8 weeks). The puppies are living with us until the age of 8 weeks, they can go to our new homes after these vaccinations, which ensure that they have the basic protection to face the world outside.
What we ask
First of all we ask owners to visit us and accept our methods and philosophy. As each puppy gets all of our love and care, we want to find them active, loving homes with owners accepting them as partners and family members. For this reason we also ask buyers to tell us their aims and motivations in buying a puppy - so we can pick the best puppy for that person or family. Buying a puppy is a decision for 10-15 years and we would like to know that our puppies will have good homes.
Our dogs and puppies are living with our children, so they are socialised to children, but if you have a child you have to know that dog-keeping in family assumes much psychiological sense and respect for the animal. The puppy need an own place and time to relax, your child also has to accept this, or else none of the family members nor the puppy will be happy. The dog and the child under 8 years cannot be let alone without an adult.
We also ask owners to keep in contact with us and inform us about the puppy, we would like to know important events of the dog's life. We would like to build out good personal relationship with the owners and help them if needed.
We will take back any dog we have bred, anytime, and never would like to see any of our dogs in a petshop, shelter, or auction.
