Trial of Duty
Quest to acquire occupation change item, 'Mark of Duty'. Grand Master Hannavalt tells you that a true Knight must fight for his honor, not for power or glory. He then tells you to meet the Knights of each kingdom and perform their errands in order to perceive the duty of a true Knight. The first Knight to visit is Sir Aaron Tanford. He is located south of the Gludio Wasteland.

PART 1
1. Begin quest in Giran Castle Town with Grandmaster Hannavalt
You begin in Giran Castle Town with Grandmaster Hannavalt located in the Fighter's Guild.
2. Hannavalt sends you to south Wasteland
Hannavalt sends you to the southern area of Wasteland to meet Sir Aaron Tanford. If you go to the southern area of Wasteland, you will see a small hut. In this place you can meet Sir Aaron Tanford. When you meet and address him, he gives you one quest sword and sends you to kill wasteland hill's skeleton and return with the quest item Knight's Tears.
3. Hunt Sir Harod's Dead Spirit and return to Sir Aaron Tanpod/Tanford
To get the quest item Aaron Tanford wants, you have to use the true sword to kill the skeleton. Once you kill it, Sir Harod's Dead Spirit comes out. Then you have to kill the dead spirit. When you kill it you get the quest item 'Knight's Tears'. You have to take this back to Sir Aaron Tanford and part 1 is complete.
PART 2
1. Aaron sends you to Dion Castle Town
When you return to Aaron with the Knight's Tears, he sends you to go meet Sir Kiel Nighthawk in Dion Castle Town. Once you get to Dion Town, Sir Kiel Nighthawk is located in the Dark Elf Guild.
2. Kiel Nighthawk sends you go Execution Ground
Sir Kiel Nighthawk sends you to Execution Ground to kill Strains and Ghouls and return with a Report. When you kill them you will collect the quest item Torn Report Piece. When you collect 10 of these pieces, they automatically form a single whole report.
3. Nighthawk sends you to hunt Hanged Man Ripper
Once you give Kiel Nighthawk the quest item 'Report', he gives you a different quest item Orfic Mirror and tells you to go kill the wooden monster Hanged Man Ripper and return with the quest item Tears of Repentance. If you hunt this Hanged Man Ripper for a long time, Telianus's Dead Spirit will come out. If you kill the dead spirit you will receive the quest item 'Tears of Repentance'.
Take the Tears of Repentance to Kiel Nighthawk and part 2 is complete.
PART 3
1. Nighthawk sends you to Hunter's Town
After you return to Sir Kiel Nighthawk, he will send you off to Hunter's Town to meet Isabel Silver Shadow [name has a typo in the game]. Here we will give a small tip. Walking is a pain, so here is the least expensive way to use the gatekeepers. (Dion Town -> Giran -> Gludin -> Gludio Town -> Hunter's Town). Isabel is located outside on the left half of the city. NOTE: if you are having difficulty talking to Isabel and she will not let you continue with the quest, try returning at level 36, instead.
2. Isabel sends you to hunt Lizardmen
This woman, without any concern of how tiredsomely you arrived, gives you a quest. It is to go kill Leto Lizardman. If you kill it you will receive the quest item Relic. You must collect a total of 20 of these relics. To find the location of the Leto Lizardman, follow the road to the right of Isabel and pass the cave area and where the three roads meet, in that area, many lizardmen will be there. Once you collect 20, return to Isabel and you will be done with part 3.
PART 4
1. Isabel sends you to Giran
Once you return the 20 relics to Isabel, she will send you to Giran Town to find the Priest Testin. Testin is located in the temple to the right of the gatekeeper near the eastern entrance. [Name is either Testin or Dustin.]
When you approach Testin and talk to him, he will tell you to hunt Breka Orc General and obtain the quest items Artvalt's Skeleton/rib bone/shank bone. The Breka Orc General (also part of the Seeker's Trials) is located north of Giran but just south of Dragon Valley.
2. Testin sends you to Talking Island
When you collect Artvalt's skeleton/rib bone/shank bone and give them to Priest Testin, he will send you to Talking Island to find Sir Colin Windawood. He stands at the Victory Memorial.
Once you reach him, he will send you back to the starting point of Giran to meet Grandmaster Hannavalt again.
When you meet Grandmaster Hannavalt, he will give you the quest item 'Duty's Voucher' (final item).
Congratulations, you have finished the Trial of Duty!
