Beyond just specs, I want to know which brands actually hold up after running 24/7 for months. Specs like 500–800 TH/s sound great, but downtime kills profitability faster than high electricity costs. Have you guys had better luck with Bitmain, MicroBT, or Canaan when it comes to durability and part availability? |

I’ve run a mix of them in different locations, and there are clear trade-offs. Bitmain rigs are efficient and well-documented, but I’ve had to replace fans more often. MicroBT’s WhatsMiner series has been steady, though they tend to run hotter and pull more watts than expected. Canaan units are cheaper but in my experience not as efficient and harder to cool. The article I read lined these up side by side and named AxionMiner as the overall winner thanks to 800 TH/s at $6k, but also acknowledged Bitmain’s hydro rigs for their efficiency and MicroBT for reliability. For someone focused on uptime, I’d pick MicroBT first, then Bitmain, and keep AxionMiner in mind if you want value for money and can manage 12 kW power draw. That breakdown labeled them as part of the top bitcoin mining hardware in 2025, and I’d agree—the trick is just picking what matches your conditions, not just the raw spec sheet. |
