How to Access the Simulacrum
To enter the Simulacrum, you need to collect 300 Simulacrum Splinters, which drop from Delirium encounters scattered across the Atlas. These encounters appear in maps with Delirium modifiers or can be triggered using Distilled Emotions. Once you have enough splinters, combine them into a Simulacrum item and activate it at the Realmgate to open portals to the Simulacrum.
Wave Structure and Mechanics
The Simulacrum consists of 15 waves of enemies that grow progressively stronger. Each wave must be fully cleared-including any bosses-before you can proceed. After clearing a wave, interact with the Strangely Familiar Entity to start the next one. The arena changes every few waves, often becoming smaller and more enclosed, which increases the challenge by limiting movement and making it easier to get swarmed.
Enemies in the Simulacrum have modifiers that increase their damage, speed, and resistances as waves progress. You’ll face a mix of normal and rare Delirium monsters, with rare monsters having dangerous affixes that can quickly overwhelm unprepared players.
Boss Encounters
Two unique bosses, **Kosis, the Revelation** and **Omniphobia, Fear Manifest**, appear intermittently throughout the waves. Their spawn order is random, and eventually, you will face both simultaneously. When this happens, prioritize killing Kosis first because his abilities can severely restrict your movement and control of the battlefield. Omniphobia deals heavy melee damage with powerful slam attacks, so dodging his telegraphed moves is critical.
Survival Tips
- **Area Damage and Crowd Control:** High area-of-effect damage is essential to quickly thin out large groups of enemies before they overwhelm you.
- **Evasion Over Armor:** Evasion is particularly effective in the Simulacrum because it helps you avoid attacks entirely, which is crucial against the sheer number of foes. While armor and energy shield can help, they may be insufficient alone.
- **Consumables:** Bring Omens of Resurgence to restore life and energy shield during tough waves. Activate them as needed to sustain through heavy damage phases.
- **Positioning:** Use the arena’s layout to your advantage, kiting enemies and avoiding being cornered, especially as the map shrinks in later waves.
- **Inventory Management:** Between waves, you can access a stash to organize loot. Be sure to pick up all valuable drops before starting the next wave, as items on the ground disappear when waves begin.
Completing waves grants Delirium-specific loot, including unique items, currency, and Distilled Emotions used for passive skill enhancements. Finishing all 15 waves rewards you with Atlas passive points and high-value gear, making the challenge worthwhile.
Mastering the Simulacrum requires a balance of damage output, survivability, and strategic movement. Focus on clearing mobs quickly, managing boss mechanics carefully, and using consumables wisely to survive the escalating waves. |
