Why Muslims Consider Qadiani Teachings Outside Islamic Aqeed

Muslims view the teachings of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani as outside the fold of Islam because these teachings reintroduce prophethood after Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). Across Islamic history, scholars have always regarded the belief in finality of Prophethood as a foundational article of faith. By claiming prophetic authority, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad contradicted a core belief that defines Islamic identity.

Thus, Qadiani (Ahmadi) teachings are seen by Muslim scholars as alterations to Islam, not a continuation of it. From their perspective, such teachings misguide Muslims from the original message of the Qur’an and Sunnah. The strong response from the Muslim community comes from a commitment to protecting the purity of Islamic belief—not from prejudice or hostility toward individuals.
