What if watch dial designs were free to be explored? What if all elements of a watch dial could be developed without restriction? The NOMOS design team broke with convention in the Twice Unique collection, transcending the limitations of traditional dial design and exploring entirely new materials, techniques, and textures. The Twice Unique collection comprises two watches sharing the same artistic design and presented as a pair. Each watch is crafted from 18K gold and stainless steel, representing the two key characteristics of NOMOS's core collection. The gold model is warm and powerful, while the stainless steel model is clean, understated, and sophisticated. Both designs combine precision and modernity, and each pair in the Twice Unique collection interprets this concept in a different way.

The Twice Unique collection features nine models, each comprising five pairs: Tangente 33, Tetra 27, Ludwig, Orion neomatik, and Tangente neomatik 38 Update, crafted from gold and stainless steel respectively. Each pair of watches is custom-made to the client's individual needs, possesses a unique serial number, and is exclusively available this year in a combination of gold and stainless steel, with identical models and sizes.

The dial design originates from a textile fabric design from the 1960s. This design, which graced the runway, now appears on the wearer's wrist. The NOMOS team started with the initial sketches, selecting a portion of the design at the dial size, and perfectly replicating it using a four-color transfer printing process. While each watch draws inspiration from the original design elements, it ultimately presents its own unique style.

Exquisite Craftsmanship Inside and Out

Take the Ludwig as an example. Even without Roman numeral hour markers, this most classic NOMOS model is highly recognizable with its slender, straight lugs and case. Even the pencil marks from the original sketches are clearly visible on the dial—handcrafted inside and out. The Ludwig and Ludwig Rive Gauche models are powered by the NOMOS in-house DUW 4001 manual-winding movement.

Sparkling and layered—drawing the eye for detail. Born in Paris in 1966, this design still exudes a stunning modern feel—a level only true classics can achieve. Sometimes orderly, sometimes lively, the different details of the pattern subtly highlight the unique personality of each timepiece.

The Tetra watch features a square case with delicate stepped lugs, elegantly handling even the most complex designs. This manual-winding watch, with a 27.5mm side, exudes a modern feel in both the 18K gold and stainless steel versions.

Urania Private Galaxy
Urania, the name of this astronomical muse, also symbolizes education, science, and time itself. The dial of this watch resembles a tranquil night sky above our world—and it's unique. Silver stars adorn a deep blue background, meticulously drawn with the finest mouse hair brush, making each dial one-of-a-kind. Furthermore, the dial is printed with a dotted pattern filled with Superluminova luminescent material, the pattern being uniform in size on each watch.

Each watch in the Urania collection retains its unique typography. To contrast with the star pattern, the numerals and hour markers on each stainless steel and gold combination watch are in gold. Gold - Dazzling and Brilliant
The dials of this collection are crafted using a meticulous hand-applied gold leaf technique. The process involves multiple steps, each application requiring a long drying time. The gold leaf is repeatedly applied, layered, and then peeled off. The final surface boasts a rich, almost luminous sheen, as if it were breathing.

For the Auric series, the dial is like a stage, where only the hands gleam, in addition to the gold hue. The image shows the Tangente 33 watch in gold and stainless steel. Other models also completely forgo text markings; only the Orion neomatik series retains its iconic hour markers, a feature present in all series.

Now, the tradition of high precision: "Grinding and polishing" represents the highest level of craftsmanship and microscopic precision. This multi-step finishing process creates a mirror-like, yet smooth and delicate surface. Known since the early days of Glashütte watchmaking, this technique continues to be used today: after hours of meticulous hand-polishing, artisans use polishing paste and water until the dial perfectly reflects the ever-changing surroundings.

In the Now series, the Tangente 33 is presented in its simplest form. Only the rotating hands remain on the dial—time is direction in space. However, the NOMOS logo is indispensable: representing the legal designation of origin for the Glashütte independent watchmaking factory, it is presented in gold on both watches.

**Painted** A Poetic Daydream
These dials are plated with ruthenium and silver, and their flowing curves are hand-engraved using the finest engraving tools. The final effect is that the lines on the five pairs of watches intertwine like a dance, showcasing a beautiful sense of order even in seemingly random strokes.

The flowing lines on the dial give the watches a stunning three-dimensional feel. This contrasts sharply with the straight lines of the Tetra 27's case.

**Graffiti Dark** Exquisite Lines
Like the lighter version of Scribble, this ruthenium-plated dial features a similar design: delicate circular lines are outlined on the surface with an engraving tool—these lines advance forward, circle backward, intertwine, and never stop. This is a highly beautiful and ingenious artistic expression.

This Tangente neomatik 38 Update watch features a NOMOS circular date display, presented here as a pair of scribble dials without numerals or markers. The day-of-the-week markers on the outer edge of the dial are also devoid of numbers, and the current date is displayed directly without a border, as is typical.

Drifting The beauty of fleeting time. The frosted dial design is inspired by a historical technique—a pre-industrial spray painting method: first, a light-colored base coat is applied to the brass blank, then a delicate texture is hand-engraved using a mold. This smoky blue gradient effect creates a sense of flow, or rather, a "drifting" effect. The light diffuses softly, as if shrouded in a thin mist; the tone is cool, yet warm.

The Drift collection retains the exclusive font for each watch. For example, on the Tangente neomatik 38 Update, whether in gold or stainless steel, the numerals, markers, and NOMOS logo are all presented in gold, while the hands are either gold-plated or rhodium-plated depending on the case material. The Twice Unique series watches cleverly integrate the small seconds subdial into the main dial.

Moiré Pattern
Elegant Waves
This elegant deep blue zinc-plated guilloché dial—NOMOS's first guilloché dial—is adorned with a delicate wave pattern. As the angle and light change, the dial presents different appearances: sometimes calm and composed, sometimes shimmering with a soft sheen. This phenomenon is known as "moiré," referring to the iridescent wave pattern commonly found on pressed silk, for example.

The full charm of this series of watches is revealed when viewed up close. The closer one gets to the dial, the more exquisite its details become. In the Ludwig watch shown in the image, even the railway-style minute markers on the dial's edge seem to leap off the dial.
