Lamentatio e Capriccio

This piece of music was composed upon the orchestra's request in 1993. The two themes of great ligature suggest - as it is to be seen in the title - two basically different characters, atmospheres. The emotional depth of the Lamentation theme, the student-like playfulness, at parts impertinence of the Capriccio theme involve tremendous artistic and technical difficulties for the musicians. A new, solistic way of using an electric keyboard adds special interest, original sounding to the piece.

The very first performance of the composition Lamentatio e Capriccio took place on November 16th, 1993 at a festive concert of the Music School. This piece of music was also performed by the orchestra Piccoli Archi in Belgium and England in April, 1994.
