AUSTIN — The family of a West Texas student killed in a car accident last month while volunteering for Republican Ben Carson’s presidential campaign said they are touched by the way the candidate has honored his memory. Braden Joplin, a 25-year-old from Midland, died last month after two weeks of campaigning for Carson in Iowa.
