All about...

   Dear visitor...!

Thank you for visiting my homepage! I hope it was useful and interesting enough for you.

The collection is separated from all extreme political opinions, and organizations, as neither am I member of them. I also separate myself from any demonstrations, assaults against authorities. According to this fact whether you see in the news a human being wearing gasmask while attacking the police, that can't be me, or one of my masks.
(I was asked a couple of times like 'Was it you hitting those officers with that iron stick?' - Well, no.) I am a peaceful collector, I keep these masks by the interest of the history of war.

All the pictures, buttons etc. on the page are taken, and designed by me. I try to develop the site with as high standard of design quality, and to be as easy to use as possible. I hope you are satisfied with it and the translation of the Hungarian version as it is still under construction.

Special thanks to those who helped me to get some of the masks:

Szabolcs Defend, who gave me a part of his collection

About the homepage and the collection

On summer of 2007
 M34, GP5, M35, Fenzy Biomask, M61, ASM 13124, M9A1, VM37

I've bought my first gasmask in Ráckeve market (Pest megye, Hungary). An old engineer sold tools and accessories there, and a Hungarian M76 civilian gasmask as well. It took my fancy. I've found it crazy to buy it, but of course i paid and grabbed it. This was the point of my life, where was no turning back. However there was a short break after it,  that autumn I found another mask in a military shop in Budapest. That was a Hungarian M70 military gasmask. I've bought it because if there is one, why not to have two masks?... or three?... or four?... or ten?!
A good friend of mine said once, that if i'll have twenty several masks, that's going to be a real collection. Now I own more than 45 pieces (the number comes from august 2009, I have to count them again, which is not an easy task by some cases).

Earlier on I've reported my new masks for my friends on a blog. They found it weird first. After these times the previous way of publication came out of control. I mean I couldn't took the masks in order, because the blog page categorized everything by date, not by producer country or what was it used for etc. so I decided to make and design my own HTML homepage where I can arrange the masks as I want, and when I want. The previous function of the page was about a PC game Medal Of Honor Allied Assault, but since a couple of years it works to show my collection.

2006
 8 Hungarian gasmasks (M76, M34, M70) for 2500 forints ~9 EUR

3rd of September 2006

While designing the page, my first goal was to make it easier to understand my unusual passion, to show everybody this exciting subject, and to record somehow my collection which mostly includes gasmasks from the 20th century (of course a couple of them according to all the masks which were produced at this time).
I have to say that I never wanted to own the greatest gasmask collection of my country (or to compete with anyone who wants to own much more than I have), because I know, I am so far from this position.
I hope you've enjoyed this page, and thanks again for visiting.
And never forget: Everybody collects something. Napkins, stamps, old photos, experience or it can happen to get some gasmasks in a market close to you!
