ART AND PROFESSION

This is my mission as I believe that my work as a restorer can be summarized with these two words. It’s art because all that was created by masters of old times can only be touched by people endowed with artistic sense. But it’s also a profession since it requires dedicated work, experience, special knowledge and undivided attention when you have a special work of art in your hands.

THE RESTORER:

Restorers are experts who have received all the artistic, techical, methodological and professional training to be able to do their job properly. This requires a great deal of responsibility as they deal with original works of arts expressing the intellectual, religious and artistic life of the past or documenting a historic time or situation irrespective of whether they are extraordinary from an artistic view or are simply everyday objects (excerpts from the rules and regulations of the Chamber of Hungarian Restorers)
