The laboratory facilities at the center will analyze genetically modified agricultural products for edibility and environmental safety.</P]<P]Work at the center will comprise assessing safety, issuing public announcements and emergency warnings, establishing and popularizing safety management protocols and technical standards, testing and identifying the composition of genetically modified products, testing products for edibility and environmental safety, and promoting technical exchanges and international cooperation.</P]<P]BDA, which has been focusing on the development of high-tech industries since its establishment, has not only attracted many high-tech enterprises that have strong innovation ability, good economic returns and great development potential to the area, but also hosts many world-class and national-level laboratories, testing organizations and corporate development and research centers.</P]<P]The establishment of the center is expected to further advance BDA's scientific and technological research and development capabilities. The management committee of BDA plans to provide professional, customized services for the construction and development of the center.</P]
