If you already read my article on the late craze around exploding electronic cigarettes, you probably already know I'm not a big fan of mods. That being said, I just couldn't help post about the aluminum can mods made by Karen of Sin City Mods. They're definitely the most creative I've ever seen, and the stats listed on their site look pretty safe too.
The reason I don't particularly like modified personal vaporizers is because a lot of them are accidents waiting to happen. Most modding how-to's come with warnings like 'following these instructions may be dangerous and is entirely at your own risk' or 'modding can be dangerous and cause injuries should these devices short circuit and '. At least when you buy from a trusted supplier, should something go terribly wrong with your device (although that has yet to happen), you can put the blame on someone, knowing you used their e-cigarette as intended. But, as I mentioned in previous articles on the subject, there are people out there who actually know what they're doing and have so much trust in the safety and efficiency of their custom vaporizers that they even offer warranty for them.
One of these skilled modders is Karen, from Sin City Mods, who is able to turn almost any kind of aluminum beverage can (be it juice, beer or energy drink) into an awesome e-cigarette mod. All you have to do is send her a photo of the can you'd like her to use for the mod, and she'll get right on it. She places the intricate workings of the vaporizer inside an actual can and uses durable Pyrex straws to make it look like you're actually carrying around an ordinary can. To add to the illusion, Karen even weighs the mod to make it feel like a full can.

Karen uses 14500 900 mAh 3.6v protected batteries. Or IMR 18650's. The mod consists of a 3mil Tank with a punched cartomizer, or a 6mil tank with cartomizer. Another cool feature of her e-cig mods is they are easily interchangeable. Thanks to male and female connect/disconnect units, the actual vaping device can simply be placed in another aluminum can, for a fresh new look.
Some have called these Sin City Mods can vaporizers the ultimate in stealthy vaping, but if you're looking to blend in with these things, it's not going to work. Sure, they look like ordinary Coke or beer cans, but once you take a sip and start plowing vapor, people are going to start asking questions. You're probably better off with a mini electronic cigarette, but the coolness factor of using one of Karen's creations is simply off the charts. Prices vary from $99.99 for a 3ml tank - 14500 battery, to $139,99 for a 6ml tank and 18650 battery. All mods work at 3.7 Volts.
