James a lábáról kapta becenevét, ugyanis...áh, ezt inkább elmondja ő: "Ha kiteríteném őket, mindenki azt mondaná, ezek kezek, majomkezek."

Munk egy este kilógott bringájával egy buliba, aztán elesett. A lánc levágta a  bal hüvelykujjának egy részét, és a doktor azt javasolta, a rehabilitáció végett kezdjen el valami hangszeren játszani, így jött a gitár.

Munky szintén a LAPD-ban játszott és „Bunyósnak” hívja hajóját. A színpadi overáljairól: „Valami igénytelent és piszkosat akartam színpadon viselni, mert mikor itt fönt vagyok, furcsán érzem magam, az az ember, akit nem szeretek magamban, minden amit utálok magamban, az az, mikor itt fönt vagyok." James sokszor megsebzi önmagát.
