Chemicals can only be used with the permission of the teacher.

It is forbidden to taste or touch the chemicals.

The proper way to hold the chemical container: support the bottom of the glass with the palm of the left hand, and hold the top of the glass with the right hand.

How to warm-up ingredients: using a test-tube holder, the test tube should be pulled through the flames repeatedly.

It is forbiden to bend over the test tube or to point it toward classmates.

The proper way of smelling: fan the air to our nose with our hands.

If our skin touches acid, first we have to wipe it down, then we have to wash our skin with plenty of water.

If it is neccessary, we have to negate the effect of the acid with weak lye (with Na-H-CO solution).

If our skin touches alkali, we have to negate its effect with vinegar solution( 2% concentration), after the wipe and the washing of the skin.

In every laboratory or by its entrance there must be a first-aid kit and a fire extinguisher.

If a person catches on fire, if it is possible cover him/her with a blanket, or make him stand under the shower.

The fire extinguisher should be only used if it is neccessary.

If an electrical device catches on fire, first we have to switch it off from the electric network. It is forbidden to use water.

If some kind of gas catches on fire, first we have to close the main tap.

After that we can use water or fire extinguisher to fight the fire.

If organic dissolver ( gasoline, alcohol, ether..) burns, we can use sand or extinguisher to fight the fire.

The proper way to use the fire extinguisher: pull out the safety pin, hit the safety head, put continous pressure on the trigger of the dust pistol, aim it towards the fire.
