-/Lup/ I don't know your Master, but a male two leg have just disappeared. Who is your Master? How is he your "Master"?

*Now I become more comfortable again. I can talk with these strange wolves and might find out something about this place. Still, those wolves make me sick... I stand bravely among them, not as a superior, but someone who has nothing to afraid of.*

*The wolves don't have an alpha, they're three young males, completely independent of each other. They approach obviously driven by some sort of a purpose, though very much wary of White Raven's size and fangs.
One of them retorts.*

-/Lup/ The master, the master!

*Another bunch of growls and snarls leave the mouth of the second one, all of them edging closer.*

-/Lup/ Where is he?!

*There is nothing otherwise unnatural, wrong, or Wyrm-stenched about these wolves, but the look in their eyes reflects a certain... fanaticism. It is as though they didn't even hear the Garou's words.*

*After the maddening rage, which I haven't experienced since... my first change, I desperately try to catch my breath. My body still trembles with both anger and fear. Mainly with fear. My enemy has left - I'm sure that he is not dead - in a terrible condition but he will return and will try to kill me again. First, I need to recover and stand ready to fight him if he finds me again. Or rather I should find him and learn his weaknesses, find his enemies before we face each other again. And one thing for sure: I won't let my enemies know again where I am and what I am. I won't run and howl carelessly again, no matter how great it was.

When I recognise that I'm not alone I stand up, I hold my head high and try to look strong and fearsome. I can't show weakness before them. Fortunately the trembling stopped just a moment ago. I don't want to fight, because now I don't want THEM to be hurt.*

-/Lup/ I'm just passing by. I won't take your prey, nor your pack. Don't attack me!

*I face the leader if I can decide which one it is. As always I'm ready to run if it's needed. Duel is one (loathsome) thing, but killing wolves is still something I want to avoid at any cost.*

*The fate that awaits him in this scenario is so utterly horrible, so incomprehensibly abominable in the face of Gaia that its thought, its prospect, and the very sound of his own blood being sucked away imbues even the broken and sliced-up body of White Raven.
With a sudden burst, he twists his less-damaged upper body, the giant hispo-wolf shrugging down the vampire, losing another chunk of flesh in the process. The beast growls in a surprised manner, White Raven's flesh and blood painting his full mouth red. It's the Garou's turn to redden his mouth though, because in the next moment, he rips the already-mangled left arm of the barbarian right off in one bite.
Roaring in pain, the vampire immediately sinks into the ground, as if drained down into a whirlwind, leaving weapons, blood and wolf behind. White Raven howls menacingly, clawing into the ground for a couple of seconds more before gradually, thanks to his Gaia-blessed regenerative abilities, his frenzy wears off.
A minute earlier, he was this close to death. Now, all he bears is an ugly bite wound on his upper neck and some minor claw marks. Life is a strange experience. But what became of his foe? Is he finished? How to destroy him?
What happens next is even more confusing. Three wolves enter the scene of battle from three different directions, alert, aggressive, but slightly confused, as if looking for something - or somebody. Seeing the giant hispo Garou, they begin to approach growling threateningly.*

<I have broken my own rule. I enganged into a fight against a warrior I didn't know. I attacked him, underestimated him and as a punishment I've lost to him. I was so close to win, I couldn't resist to attack... How foolish I was... I don't want to die! Being so close to death I have to realize that now I don't care about Gaia and I don't care about Wyld. I'm just afraid to die! Gaia, spirits, someone... help me... to survive and let me continue the fight. I want to do what I've done so far for Gaia... and for my own good of course, just give me another chance to survive. I don't want to die!>

*I am too weak to say anything out loud so my prayer remains in my head. My blood slowly leaves me and with every drop my fear grows, but I'm unable to do anything just desperately waiting for the miracle which does not exist...*

*Garou or not, White Raven is not a warrior. Strikes with such elemental force cannot be withstood forever. The pain in his body, the cracks running through his bones cause so much suffering, he can do nothing but collapse now, growling. It's over. The vampire was victorious.
However... everything has a price.
The savage axeman looks horribly pale and extremely hungry now, standing there, staring with the eyes of a madman. Finally, he drops his weapons and lunges himself at the back of the mortally-wounded Garou to replace the colossal amount of blood lost.
Blood. Nothing else matters now. And as White Raven feels the teeth sinking into his flesh, it is as though his very soul would be siphoned away with his precious Vitae...*

*I usually follow and watch my prey for days before I decide to attack them and this fomor should be no exception. He knows this forest and probably knows some greater and stronger fomori. It's a pity I can't risk him to escape and talk to anyone about me.

I sneak a little closer and when the time is right, with a well prepared jump I attack him from behind. This won't be a duel, not even a fight. I'll hunt down this evil creature with a single bite. (At least I hope so.) If everything goes well I break his spine or his neck.*

*White Raven's expectations prove fruitful after a good couple of minutes. After all, as they used to say it back home, the patient hunter gets the prey. The mist dissolves and assembles again, taking the form of the robust barbarian axeman who keeps walking deeper and deeper into the woods, cursing loudly in a tongue the Garou does not recognize, but is very much akin to Old Slavic in Transylvania.
On the downside, the wind is slowly starting to change. The smelling ability of the Wyrm-creature is unknown, but instincts tell White Raven to attack now, or he'll lose the opportunity.*

<Now the real hunt begin.>

*I follow him in silence for a few minutes. I start to enjoy again this game, because I'm the hunter again and sooner or later he will be hunted down. The days of this arrogant vampire are counted. If he refuses to dissolve the mist during the next couple minutes, I have to attack him anyway, but why would he keep this annoying spell when he feels himself safe, right?...*

*White Raven's sight blurs again as his next magical divination brings about a quick vision.
The night breaks, the dawning sun rises in all its reddish-golden glory, exposing the greatest weakness of his lurking enemy without a doubt. Within a moment's time, the visionary mist begins to churn, hiss, violently swing and annihilate into thin air.
This finally proved the identity of this particular fomor without a doubt.
The situation is less bright in reality, however, and the mist soon gets bored of scouring the area. It heads back towards the deeper forest with considerable speed.*

<This is most unfortunate. He is still looking for me. And he is a mist! Now, calm down, White Raven. As long as I'm still and I can see him, I have the advantage. Let's see his weaknesses...>
