Urgent Kitchen Sink Drain Problem

I woke up this morning to find that the water in my kitchen sink was barely draining at all. What worries me is that the problem seemed to appear overnight with no warning signs beforehand. I have guests coming this weekend and really need to get the issue resolved quickly. Has anyone had a plumbing problem that required urgent attention and found a company that was able to respond promptly and solve it without turning it into a major project?

Man, I totally feel your panic, especially with guests arriving in just a few days. The exact same thing happened to me last year right before Thanksgiving dinner. You go to sleep and everything is fine, then you wake up to a mini lake in your kitchen. I didn't want some company tearing up my floorboards or making a massive drama out of it. Luckily, a colleague told me there is same-day drain cleaning available if you catch the right team early in the morning. I gave them a shout, and they showed up with all the right gear, cleared out a massive grease plug that had apparently been building up for years, and left the place spotless within two hours. It didn't cost a fortune either, which was a huge relief given the timing.
