Adobe house renovation – Applying a roof beam to the attic

To reinforce the rear wall, the roof had to be reinforced in order to lift it later (unfortunately, it tensioned under the weight).

To do this, the beams first had to be moved to the attic.

Its piece is approx. 40-50kg, so there wasn't much chance of me picking up.

That is how the method used by the Romans, the lifting van, remained. So only 20-30kg had to be raised.

Of course, friction did not help, but I did not want to grease the beams.

One beam was used as a reverse slide.

It wasn't easy to rotate the 6m beams into their place.

Beam while pulling ...

A bunch is ready, but you still have to rotate and move it ...

Rotation was not possible everywhere, so one side of the roof had to be cut out ...

Of course, the order was also important, because if I put the last one on the wall, I wouldn't have the space to turn it on.

There were also some twisted beams that had to be pulled into place with a huge snap and 5kg hammer.
