Moving the consumption meter
It was finally time to move the electric clock.
Unfortunately, E-On's distribution box, which may have been installed for 8-10 years, no longer meets its own requirements, so it had to be replaced ...
The point is, it finally disappears from the road. In the immediate vicinity of the driveway, it is not good for an object
of this size to protrude from the ground, because if you look inside on a sleepy morning
Luckily, the day before, I started digging the trail. It was full of big stones ...
This will be the new distribution cabinet.
The official E-On mechanic offered to dig the ditch properly ... There was plenty of stone down there too ...
The only problem is that the cable is too short due to the relocation, so I still had to buy a few meters of 5x10 solid copper cable.
Which also had to be extended and insulated with a waterproof heat shrink tubing ...
The finished work: The mechanic was pretty prepared, he brought everything with him. Down with the hat, he did a nice job and also pre-assembled the distribution cabinet.
After threading the cables, the cabinet was leveled and buried to the proper height.
The cable coming in from the column, on the other hand, became “longer” due to the relocation. It was also cut to size and then wired.
The end result: The cables are nicely wired. It's a pleasure to look at.
That way, the old distribution cabinet will no longer be in the way. It’s in a good location by the fence, close to the pylon and the bottom line is you don’t have to get around it.
