The Empire, the Beasts, and the Fallen are locked in a battle
for supremacy. Closely matched, only by employing shrewd strategy
can one side hope to prevail over the others. Surrender is not
an option-only one race can triumph and rule the world.
The Empire
Comprised of valiant knights, hardworking peasants, mystical elves,
and others, the Empire represents the "human" side.
Primarily surface dwellers, the Empire must utilize miners or
locate caves to access the underworld. Governed by the Council
of Mages, the Empire is led by the mage Alric do Rei. Though the
Empire triumphed in the last war, known as the Rage, the victory
was won at great cost. They must therefore take care to maintain
strong defenses against their disgraced foe and any other threats
brewing across the lands.
The Fallen
The Fallen are a mystical, magical, and otherworldly group comprised
of dark elves, fallen knights, and eerie creatures of the underworld.
Little is known about them, but their strange ways bespeak maliciousness
and evil intentions. The Empire and the Beasts do not yet have
a full measure of the threat posed by these beings, but are apprehensive
about them nonetheless.
The Beasts
The Beasts boast brute strength, but are not without cunning intellect
and formidable magic. Their troops consist of Trolls, Ogres, Lizardmen,
and many other fierce creatures. The Beasts are commanded by Tyron
son of Gral who united the nomadic Beast tribes into one cohesive
army. Driven by an overwhelming desire for revenge, the Beasts
must seek to balance passion with levelheaded strategy.
