Pay gap according to Bérbarométer database

Let we examine average values relative to national economy!

Based on gross wages the pay gap is 20.8%, based on net wages – due to the progressive tax system – it’s „only” 17.8%.

From employees working in full time 8622 persons (4834 women and 3788 men) gave their gross monthly wage and 8371 persons (4667 women and 3704 men) gave their net monthly wage.

We note that these data show a much higher wage difference than the 11% difference pointed out by Eurostat data for 2005.
We note that the picture based on the average values of national economy is generalized and approximate. To be able work out concrete strategies to extinguish the gap between the wages of men and women, we have to see the details!
