How come we can often see different data on the gender pay gap in case of the very same countries?

Further reasons:
  • The quality and the quantity of the data which serve the basis of the calculations are different.
  • The features and methods of the data collection are different.
  • The features of the samples are different. (We obtain different results if we have a random national sample, or if the sample is representative only for a specific age group, industry, sector, area, type of settlement etc.)
