Structure of European Survey, SES

The report of the European Commission completed in July 2006 on the reasons and solutions of the gender pay gap is based on SES 2002.

Attention! Summarising the insufficiencies of SES:
SES does not collect data comprehensively:

it does not include data on public sectors, and industries which are dominant in the employment of women such as education and health care, are missing
collects data only from companies with over 10 employees (this can especially distort the picture of the Southern European countries.)
updating is still expected
